FAQs
Do I need planning permission? Many loft conversions are feasible under permitted development. We’ll confirm based on your property and conservation constraints. How much head height do I need? We ideally look for 2.2 m+ existing head height at the ridge; we’ll assess options on survey. Where will the stairs go? We design stair placement to minimise loss of space while complying with Part K. What about fire doors and alarms? If required, we’ll upgrade doors to FD30, install alarms, and protect the escape route per Part B. Can you include an en-suite? Yes. We handle plumbing routes, ventilation and waterproof finishes. Can we live at home during works? Often, yes. We phase disruptive works and protect areas carefully. Do you handle building control? We coordinate inspections and provide the final certificates.
